AU15 — Lip Corner Depressor
The Action Unit produced by the depressor anguli oris, which pulls the corners of the mouth downward. It does not establish sadness or displeasure.
AU15 lowers the lip corners and may appear alone or with other Action Units. Its presence does not establish sadness, disappointment, disagreement, empathy, or another internal state.
AU15 is tracked in facial-movement and behavioral research as an observable movement, not a stand-alone interpretation.
