How-to guide for the Mental Edge Essentials tier ($24.99/month). Set up single-face emotional analytics and interpret micro-expression data step by step.
Sign in to the Mental Edge portal. Select the Essentials subscription plan, complete the required fields, and start your 7-day free trial — no credit card required. Once setup is complete you will land on your workspace dashboard.
From the dashboard, add a new project, give it a descriptive title, and open it. Projects organize related videos and their analysis results in one place.
Upload your video file, give it a name, select the context (coaching session, clinical interaction, meeting, etc.), confirm consent, and start analysis. Mental Edge processes the video and tracks emotional state frame-by-frame for the single face in view.
Play the video alongside real-time emotion tracking. The results panel shows the seven-emotion graph (enjoyment, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, disgust, contempt), data points such as Modal Intensity, a session summary, emotion distributions, a correlation network, and a downloadable CSV report.
The workspace overview shows billing status, remaining analysis time, and storage usage. Access the Help Center and support chat popup from within the workspace. Switch between workspaces from the top navigation bar.
Use the notification icon to review alerts and updates. Use the username dropdown to manage your profile, account settings, and password.
